Sundance Vacations has placed 21st on the list of Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania in the Large Company category. They join the likes of Edward Jones, Sheetz, Gettysburg College and the Milton Hershey School, who also made the 2015 list.
The announcement was made on Thursday, December 3 at the Best Places to Work awards dinner that was held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in front of nearly 1,000 participants.
Team Pennsylvania Foundation and the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development released a list of companies that made the list back in September, but waited until this month to release the official rankings.
This makes the fifth time that the Sundance Vacations has been named to the list in the last eight years. Prior to this year’s honor, the company had a span of four consecutive years on the list from 2007 to 2010.
No stranger to making these types of lists, Sundance Vacations has been honored as a “Best Place to Work” in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Illinois, which are all of the states that the company operates in. The business completed the hat trick this year by making it on to all three lists.
Earlier in the year, Sundance CEO John Dowd was named to the list of Highest Rated CEOs in North America, placing eight overall, by Glassdoor. This award was based on reviews and feedback received from employees working at the company and served as a precursor to the success that the company would have for making the list of “Best Places to Work”.
Sundance Vacations, currently in its 25th year of business, has accumulated a number of awards and accolades from many different organizations. Some of these include: Outstanding Philanthropist Awards from the Association for Fundraising Professionals, numerous Stevie Awards in multiple categories, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association Excellence Award and being named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies for three consecutive years.
Sundance Vacations has multiple offices located in Pennsylvania, including locations in Wilkes-Barre, Pittsburgh, King of Prussia, Shamokin, Hazleton, and Tamaqua.
