On Thursday, September 28th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CASA will hold their 2nd Annual CASAblanca Gala. The Gala will be a night of entertainment to help give children in Luzerne County a voice.
The Gala will be held at the beautiful Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on the square in downtown Wilkes-Barre. The evening will include a raffle, fun casino tables games, delicious cuisine and the inspiring stories of CASA children and their volunteers reminding the community how important the CASA mission is. The CASAblanca Gala brings powerful Luzerne County voices which include business leaders, politicians, volunteers, donors and community individuals.
Last year’s event was a tremendous success with nearly 300 attendees, receiving generous financial support from individuals, businesses, local colleges and universities, and financial institutions.
Tickets to attend the event will be $95 per person and includes food, beverage and gaming opportunities.
CASA of Luzerne County is a non-profit 501(c)3 child advocacy organization that was established in 2013 to serve abused and neglected children.
CASA of Luzerne County’s mission is to recruit, train and support community volunteers to serve as the voice of abused and neglected children in the Luzerne County court system so that these children will be safe, secure and given the opportunity to thrive.
CASA of Luzerne County was founded on the belief that children who have been abused or neglected deserve a dedicated advocate to speak up for their best interests in court, in school and in our community. To accomplish this goal, CASA recruits, educates, supports and empowers a diverse community of volunteers who ensure that every child’s unique circumstances are carefully considered in an over-burdened child welfare system.
