On Sunday, November 3, 2019, the Delaware & Lehigh Heritage will have their Half Marathon Run/Walk! The event will help support D&L’s important programs and preserve the beauty and history of this trail for generations to come. Last Year they raised more than $25,000!
The Starting Line will be at the Northern Lehigh High School complex. Runners and walkers can use of the gymnasium at Northern Lehigh High School prior to the race. Participants must be at the starting line at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the race.
During the race there will be many runner and walker awards, random prizes, a delicious post-race buffet, enthusiastic volunteers, indoor facilities at the start and finish, gender-specific technical T-shirts, and so much more. Register early; the race is capped at 1,000!
Everyone completing the course within the 4.5 hour time limit will receive a finisher’s medal. Half Marathon Run and Walk Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers.
Parking will be at Northern Lehigh High School; buses will transport participants back to vehicles after the race. Parking is available in Northampton at several lots within walking distance of the finish line. Look for signs and volunteers to guide you to available parking.

The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) is a 165 miles long trail that stretches from north to south, across five counties and over one hundred municipalities. The full trail is from Wilkes-Barre to Philadelphia and incorporates rail trails, rails with trails, share-the-road sections, and canal towpaths.
The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that preserves the historic pathway that carried coal and iron from Wilkes-Barre to Philadelphia. Today, the D&L Trail connects people to nature, culture, communities, recreation and our industrial heritage.
