On September 10th, more than 300 attendees filled the Room at 900 for the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Young Professionals Awards! This was also Sundance Vacations third time acting as the Presenting Sponsor.
This year, Sundance Vacations HR Recruiter, Paige Evans spoke at the event and congratulated all nominees. When asked about the event, Paige added, “I had the honor to speak on behalf of Sundance Vacations at an amazing event recognizing young talent in our community! Being a company named Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania, one of our main goals is to help our employees grow into young professionals and that is why we absolutely love sponsoring this event. As an HR professional and a previous nominee for the Young Professionals award, it is refreshing to see so many young leaders dedicating their time and talent to enriching the community. Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, you deserve it!”
Along with Paige, Sundance Vacations employees, Robert Orloski, Emily Kostyrka, Ben Uzialko and Theresa McWhirter also attended the event.
The event was created to shine a spotlight on the area’s best and brightest, winners were announced live from 10 categories like Hero, Influencer, Small Business, Educator of the Year and more. Hors d’oeuvres were provided by Ruth’s Chris with SBC beers and select wines.
To be nominated for the Young Professional of the Year award, one must be considered an outstanding young professional who lives and works in the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area between the ages of 25-40 and is a rising star in their industry as well as their community. Nominees must also show efforts, both professionally and within the community, to make a positive impact on the Greater Wilkes-Barre Area.
