On Sunday, June 5th, Sundance Vacations held its annual company picnic at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, PA. Sundance employees had time relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful weather with family and friends. Employees had the chance to enter prize drawings, and a lucky few won wonderful event tickets, like Tamaqua TSR, Katlyn Sklodowski. Sklodowski won tickets to a Fightin’ Phils baseball game, which was played at the Reading team’s home field, FirstEnergy Stadium.
Shirts were given out to the dads in attendance as a part of a Father’s Day celebration. Parents and their children were invited to play catch on the field—a one-of-a-kind experience! Some of the Reading Fightin’ Phils (also known as the Reading Hotdogs to appeal to children) chatted with fans on the field, and Sklodowski and her family got to talk to a player who was from her home state of Delaware. There were multiple opportunities throughout the game to meet players and mascots. Sklodowski’s kids also received signed t-shirts through the Kids Club program, which is a fun, free way to hear about benefits offered throughout the season.
Sklodowski commented that everything was extremely family friendly, adding, “My son has dreams to play baseball like this when he is older. He is obsessed with the feel of everything from the game and wants to go as his birthday present in August. I just love seeing my kids smile and this day was full of memories that both my kids and I won’t forget.” They even witnessed a homerun, which was one of the many highlights of the day!
