Established in 2019 to honor the memory of Christopher Bone, the Christopher Bone Memorial Fund aims to combat the stigma surrounding substance abuse. Its mission is to raise awareness about addiction as a disease and to promote empathy for individuals grappling with it.
The Christopher Bone Memorial Fund hosted a fundraiser on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, PA. The event boasted 52 golf teams, along with a Chinese raffle, dinner, and awards ceremony. Sundance Vacations made a contribution by donating an 8-day/7-night vacation certificate for the raffle. Meaghan Bone, who works at Sundance Vacations and is Christopher Bone’s cousin, expressed her sentiments about the event: “It was a beautiful day. We got to enjoy the sunshine and my aunt wanted to ‘par-tee’ in celebration of her son, Christopher so we got to share our favorite stories of him, look at old pictures, and talk about him and his memory. Everyone had a great time, there were lots of prizes, and overall it was a great success for the Memorial Fund.”
The Christopher Bone Memorial Fund provides scholarships for those in need of treatment at Little Creek, a facility in Lake Ariel, PA. These scholarships assist individuals and families facing financial challenges by covering the expenses of addiction treatment, including additional support services and sober living costs.
If you want to show your support for Little Creek, take the time to explore the cause further and find out how you can become involved.
