With colder temperatures creeping into the weather forecast it is becoming more and more apparent that winter is headed our way. Especially when you see stories like the one I just read on the Sky-Hi News website, a news outlet out of Granby, Colorado.
Despite the fact that the Winter Park Ski Resort, located in Winter Park, Colorado, doesn’t open for another few weeks, its crews are already hard at work making snow in preparation for the long season ahead. According to the foreman of the snow-making operation, Jeremy Golnik, the man-made layers are used for a basecoat and the natural snow is what’s used for you to ski on.
