In an effort to allocate funds for lifesaving cancer research, CancerTelethon.org is hosting their yearly basket raffle charity auction to benefit the American Cancer Society. Shockingly, but sadly not surprisingly, cancer figures predicted in the United States for 2024 are astronomically high. in Pennsylvania alone, over 89,000 cases of cancer are estimated to occur this year. Fortunately, the residents of PA’s coal region are coming together on March 17th to support the ACS basket raffle for another year! Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.CancerTelethon.org/auction or over the phone by calling 570-805-4555. Purchase tickets and enter to win some incredible prizes, including, Sight & Sound tickets, a Dell Inspiron Laptop, $1,000 cash prize, or Sundance Vacations’ 8-day/7-night vacation certificate to Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head Island. You have the opportunity to win one of these prizes and many more! You don’t have to be present to win, though we suggest checking out this stellar event in person at Tamaqua Area High School!
