Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 21, 2009) Sundance Vacations gave away a free vacation to a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins fan during the Calder Cup game at the Wachovia Arena on April 19th.
Robert Janov was randomly picked among hundreds of fans who turned out for Sunday’s “white out” game. The free vacation was a fan appreciation giveaway. Sundance Vacations gave the lucky fan one free week of vacation to the destination of his choice. “I am thrilled. I was just sitting here watching the game, and surprise, I won a free vacation,” said Janov.
“It was great to be able to have one of our Sponsors, Sundance Vacations, be able to offer this trip to one of our fans that attended the game. I am sure Mr. Janov will be thrilled with the flexibility on his destination as well as the accommodations,” explained Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Director of Corporate Sales Rob Belza.
Although the WBS Penguins slid into the third period with a two point lead, they unfortunately lost by one goal in overtime. Their opponent, Bridgeport, stole the victory with a 5-4 win over the Pens. Sundance Vacations is a proud sponsor of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and wishes them the best of luck in the playoffs.
Look for Sundance volunteers at the upcoming WVIA Annual Travel Auction on April 28. The company will donate a free vacation week accommodation to Hilton Head, or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
