Sundance Vacations, Director of IT, Named to Advisory Board for McCann School of Business.

The McCann School of Business and Technology Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton Campuses invited Shawn Jetton, Director of IT at Sundance Vacations, to join their Program Advisory Board. As a respected professional in the technology  field.  Shawn’s expertise will provide guidance in the areas such as curriculum and graduate skill sets for entry level employment.

McCann’s goal is to be industry current and Shawn Jettons’ years of IT experience and knowledge will be a valuable addition to the Program Advisory Board. Continuous review of McCann’s programs ensure that their graduates will demonstrate proficiency within their chosen industry and will be able to successfully transition from student to working professional.

The Board meets twice per year, once in the spring and again in the fall.

The Advisory Board meetings for 2015 are scheduled for:

What is the  purpose of a Business and Technology Advisory Board?

Advisory Boards, sometimes referred to as Program Advisory Boards or Program Advisory Committees, are representative  groups of local business employees, alumni and industry specialists who provide the faculty and administration of the trade with current and future trends in various industries. Additionally,  they provide knowledge of  employment best practices to enhance career training of McCann students.

Shawn Jetton of Sundance Vacations will assist with review of established curriculum of the program, instructional-related program materials, equipment and facilities and student achievement outcomes as a means to provide the school with external review of its programs. Advisory boards should be composed of 12-15 qualified representatives external to the institution who can provide meaningful review of the school’s programs and supporting resources and materials. Jetton is up for the challenge, it’s just one more way Sundance Vacations gives back to the community.
