Sundance Vacations Identified as 2009 Best Place to Work in Illinois.

Downers Grove, Illinois (April 15, 2009) Sundance Vacations was recently named as one of the 2009 Best Places to Work in Illinois. This is quite an honor for Sundance Vacations as they were also recently named the 12^th best large company to work for in Pennsylvania in 2008. Sundance Vacations is a first time participant in the Illinois program.

Sundance Vacations is a national wholesale travel company headquartered in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The travel company maintains offices in six other locations including; Rockaway, NJ; Princeton, NJ; King of Prussia, PA; Harrisburg, PA; Downers Grove, IL, and Brookfield, WI.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements: Have at least 15 employees in Illinois; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in the state of Illinois; and must be in business for one year.

The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. Sundance Vacations-Downers Grove is grateful to be considered for such an award.

 The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of The Business Ledger, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – Illinois State Council, the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC) and Best Companies Group.  

Sundance Vacations will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony coordinated by The Business Ledger on May 19^th and will be profiled in a special publication by The Business Ledger on June 29^th.  The final rankings will be announced at the event.
