Sundance Vacations Supports Domestic Violence Service Center

Sundance Vacations is proud to announce that we will be a corporate sponsor for the upcoming 6^th Annual Laugh Out Loud Dinner and Comedy Show to benefit the Domestic Violence Service Center.

According to statistics, one out of every four women will experience some form of domestic violence during her lifetime.  Furthermore, more than 3 million children witness domestic violence in their homes each year.

Domestic violence has been a sort of “hot button” topic recently, however it has been around far longer than it should.  No one likes to talk about a subject like this, but the only way to make it stop, to make it end, is by bringing it out into the open.  To quote Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.”

Places like the Domestic Violence Service Center provide shelter for women that are subjected to abuse and help them 24 hours a day.  They also provide support groups, assistance in filling out paperwork and counseling options.  Shelters like these are essential to help women in need and to help educate the masses on a very real issue like this.

Sundance Vacations employee Kelly V. has reasons why the Domestic Violence Service Center’s cause is so close to her heart.  Recently, her friend Dee Dee lost her life due to domestic violence.  Listen to Kelly talk about why the cause is so important and about her friend on local radio station Magic 93.

The Dinner and Comedy Show will be held on Friday March 20 at Genetti’s Hotel and Convention Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  Tickets are $60 each and include both the dinner and show.  Join us in a night of fun to help benefit an important cause.
