On Saturday, September 9th, a team of Sundance Vacations runners (and brisk walkers!) banded together to show support for Family Promise of Carbon County’s first Family Fun Festival. The team consisted of several dedicated Sundance Vacations employees from different offices. Together, they raised over $240 in donations for the charity, and won Bloomsburg Fair tickets for the 2023 season.
The festival was held at Penn Forest Recreational Park in Jim Thorpe, and there was plenty of fun to be had! Members of the local community joined in for the walk/run, cornhole tournament, 3-point basketball contests, and free pickleball lessons! Children in attendance played a variety of lawn games and jumped for joy in an inflatable bounce house. Delicious food, treats, and sweets were served by generous volunteers. A fresh fish fry was fried up by Sundance Vacations personal trainer and had people flocking to the picnic tables to get a taste.
The event was a hit, and happy basket raffle winners got to go home with great prizes, including Sundance’s own donation, an 8-day/7-night stay to Myrtle Beach!
