The American Resort Developers Association (ARDA) has announced this year’s industry award finalists.  Sundance Vacations is a finalist in 2 categories.  The company’s focus on the customer experience was recounted in the nomination for best Call Center with 250 agents or fewer.  The Net Promoter system is a systematic, customer experience measurement tool that was deployed company-wide last year as a direct result of inspiration derived from a key note speech by Frederick Reichheld at the 2012 ARDA convention.  In addition to a systematic focus on wowing the customer, Sundance also introduced the DAD message in its call centers last year.  DAD stands for Delivering Additional Disclosures.  “All of these enhancements have led to positive, lasting and measurable improvements,” explains company President John Dowd.   “Adopting these changes was already a “win” for the company it will be a great honor if the trade association judging panel also sees the importance of this work with an official award.”

Sundance Vacations’ Harrisburg sales team was also nominated as one of the best Project teams.  The key difference between the Project team and Sales Team category is that the Project team award allows for recognition for the entire team including receptionists and support staff instead of limiting the recognition to only sales associates.  Despite several obstacles that would impede the success of many sales organizations the Harrisburg team earned the top Sundance Vacations sales office award for 5 years in a row. “It was important for us to apply in the Project team category,” continues Dowd. “Our sales associates are talented and professional but they don’t succeed in a vacuum.  Without our friendly and knowledgeable support personnel we would struggle to succeed at anything.”
ARDA received over 400 award nominations this year.  Final award placements will be announced during the annual trade association convention held at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas this April.
