Wilkes-Barre, PA (November 19, 2009) – Two Sundance Vacations executives were honored at the Sixth Annual Women in Business Awards. Sundance Vacations Founder Tina Dowd was named a finalist for Best Entrepreneur and Sundance Vacations Assistant General Manager Denise Miller was a finalist for Best Executive.

The international Stevie Award competition recognized the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, business owners, and the organizations they run. “I was amazed by the depth of international talent among the top women business leaders. I was there to represent my company Sundance Vacations. Sundance Vacations is a wholesale travel company. Since saving money is currently in vogue we’re enjoying a record sales year-without government assistance or bailout money. Just pure determination! That determination has also propelled us to a spot on the Inc. 5000’s fastest growing companies list,” said Sundance Vacations Founder Tina Dowd. “Thank you for the recognition as a finalist. We’re looking forward to the Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service coming up in 2010,” added Dowd.
The final results of the 6th annual competition were announced at an awards dinner at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Friday, November 13. More than 1,100 nominations were submitted this year for consideration in 54 categories by organizations in Australia, Canada, China, Germany, India, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.A.
