Let’s get physical with the Sundance Vacations 2022 FUNday health initiative!
Every year Sundance Vacations co-owner’s John and Tina Dowd make it their personal mission to provide their employees with ways to benefit their physical and mental health. This year’s health initiative consists of weekly summer workout classes for employees to get their blood pumping with Tina Dowd’s personal trainer, Joe Masher.
Joe has been a personal trainer for 30 years. Sundance Vacations is currently 12 weeks into the workout sessions and after every class employees are feeling better than ever! There are about 1-2 sessions every week for employees to take advantage of for free. The workouts that take place during these times include strength training, stretching, and cardio.
This year, Sundance Vacations held a FUNday event on July 11th at the corporate location in Wilkes-Barre, PA for the entire office. This event was an awesome way to get employees moving, and it gave everyone the chance to mingle with coworkers in other departments. Employees got the chance to personally meet Tina’s trainer, Joe, and get a sneak peek of just how motivating he is!
Even though this FUNday was strictly “backyard” type games such as cornhole, kan jam, and ladder ball, all the employees who participated had a blast and even got a GREAT workout in! Not only was this truly a “FUN” day, but it was also a team bonding event. Employees from all different departments got the chance to work together to win at each activity station.
Each employee who participated in this event was put into a drawing to win a $100 Visa gift card, 50,000 star points (which is an internal point system where you can purchase items or a day off using your points), or a bonus week trip! The winner with a gift of her choice was Marenda Davi who is the manager of our Harrisburg OPC team. Congratulation, Marenda!
As a thank you for participating, the employees were rewarded with empanadas and ice cream to end their day of fun in the sun!
