Sundance Vacations Announces Executive Promotion

WILKES-BARRE, PA, June 27 – Sundance Vacations, a leading provider of discount travel accommodations throughout North America and the Caribbean, recently announced that its longtime Chief Financial Officer, Marvin Metzger, would be expanding his responsibilities and taking on the position of Chief Operating Officer.  The promotion officially places Mr. Metzger in charge of the leadership, management and vision of the company.

Marvin earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from Bloomsburg University and an MBA from Lehigh University.  Upon graduation from Bloomsburg, Marvin joined the national accounting firm, Laventhol and Horwath.  While in public accounting, Marvin earned his CPA license and specialized in the hospitality and leisure industries, as well as manufacturing, health care, and banking.  He left public accounting to join Tenenbaum’s Travel, a fast growing retail and wholesale travel company.  Marvin was first the Controller, and later was appointed CFO.  After graduate school, and brief stint as a consultant in Florida, Marvin joined Wise Foods as the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis.  In 1997, Marvin joined a start-up marketing company in the plastic surgery industry, Thatlook.com, and in 2001, Marvin joined Dowd Marketing/Sundance Vacations as the CFO, where over the years, he has helped develop administrative and accounting systems, including computer software systems.

Jack Lenahan has more than 20 years of experience in cross functional accounting systems.  Prior to joining Sundance Vacations, he served as the Director of Audit Services at a rapidly growing national provider of government sponsored health plans.  Jack previously served as a Senior Manager and consultant for ParenteBeard, and spent five years as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Helvetia Time and Roger Dubois Corporations.  Jack holds a BS in Business Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and an associate’s degree of Science in Business Administration from Luzerne County Community College.
Lisa Woodruff comes to Sundance with more than eleven years of Human Resources experience in various industries including manufacturing and the service industry.  Lisa also has experience teaching Human Resources at Penn State University.  Lisa graduated from Wilkes University with a degree in business, and received her MBA in Human Resources from Marywood University.
