Sundance Vacations has been a longstanding supporter of the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association, so it was paramount to join WVCA and play a role in the organization’s Blue and Gold Gala centennial celebration. This special occasion featured a cocktail hour, an extensive silent auction boasting over one hundred items, a dinner, and a heartfelt awards ceremony. Local community members and volunteers convened for an evening filled with reflection on WVCA’s rich history and optimistic dialogue about the organization’s promising future. One of the highlights of the event was undoubtedly the online silent auction, offering participants the chance to bid on an array of enticing items including a contribution from Sundance Vacations—an 8-day/7-night stay in either Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Prior to the gala, WVCA’s Director of Development and Community Outreach made a notable appearance on PA Live, shedding light on WVCA’s mission, further underscoring the event’s significance.

Wyoming Valley Children’s Association

Founded in 1923 through the initiative of the Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre and the Community Chest (now the United Way of Wyoming Valley), WVCA has been committed to aiding handicapped children since its inception. Today, local volunteers, including The Wilkes-Barre Rotary Club, continue to organize fundraisers, special events, and personal donations to uphold WVCA’s mission of nurturing the developmental potential of all children. You can find this information and more on the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association website.
